About the demo:
- This is a direct playback of the Wisdom Drone sound (no effects were added).
- The Flute solo was produced by playing the Silver Flute Soundfont through a delay and controlling it via the Pitch Wheel.
- The Wisdom Drone Virtual Instrument plays back uncompressed 44.1 KHz, 16 bit wave samples - of much higher quality than can be heard in this demo (a 128 kbps compressed mp3 file).
Wisdom Drone starts in the key of C, then modulates up a half-step to the next drone at C# for a short mid-section before returning back to C.
There are 14 unique drone tones in this collection, covering a full octave and able to play in any key!

Details:
The Wisdom Drone is an endlessly looping tone with a subtle, constantly-shifting internal pattern of harmonic modulation. Each of the 14 Drones in this Instrument are independent designs, having a common tonal quality but different modulation patterns, and have been tuned to standard Western Scale pitches so they can be used with other musical instruments.

Patches:
10 second loops: Drones run in 10 second loops. Since each drone is a unique design with its own inter-modulation pattern, this loop length allows these repetitive patterns to be used to creative advantage.
60 second loops: When using a drone on its own, this patch gives a full minute of constantly shifting modulations before repeating. Having two sets of independent drones also allows for interesting stereo and surround sound (4 channel) effects.
Perfect Loop Process: Loops were designed using the PLP technique to ensure a perfect repeating pattern of subtle tonal variation, with no pops or glitches.

MIDI Control:
Control Codes: The fade in and fade out times of each drone is adjustable in real-time using common MIDI control codes (from your keyboard, sequencer, or controller).
Modulation Wheel: The volume level is adjustable from 50% to 100% using the Modulation wheel for real-time control right at the keyboard.
