About our Demos

All our demos were created by loading the product sound libraries into a VSTi software sampler and playing them using MIDI notes sent from a Host Sequencer.

Most libraries have been recorded direct - with no EQ, effects, or compression added to the final sound - to give an accurate idea of the actual sound you can expect

A small amount of ambient reverb has been added to the final sound only when it is important to hear the libraries in their normal musical context. (If used, this will be noted in writing directly below the demos.)

The final demos are converted to a 320 kbps mp3 file for use in the Flash player.

All demos can be downloaded to your hard drive by right-clicking on the demo name and selecting "Save As..." (This will allow you to download the actual MP3 file to your system for playing on your main studio monitor system, for example.)

The sound quality of our libraries is actually much higher than what can be reproduced in the MP3 demos! Jayzen Sound libraries use only CD-quality samples of at least 44.1 kHz, 16 bit resolution, converted from our own 96 kHz, 24 bit recordings.

For best results - listen to the demos on a good monitor system or headphones, in a quiet environment.

Soundfont Format

The majority of software samplers on the market today can import and use the Soundfont format.

Soundfonts work with Apple Garage Band, Fruity Loops, sfz, Vsampler, GigaSampler, GigaStudio, Reason, Kontakt, Logic EXS-24, and many more. They can be loaded into many Creative Sound Card such as SBLive, Audigy, etc. and run directly from hardware.

WAV Audio Format

For those working with hardware samplers, drum machines, and sampling keyboards, all of our Legacy GOLD libraries are available as a folder of WAV Audio samples. Each note is a separate sample to reduce sampling artifacts & simplify import. Large libraries also include a small-version edition (<16 MB) for use with older hardware and keyboard samplers.
